Lynne Weitzel

Attorney Jessica KosaresLynne Weitzel has practiced law in Colorado since 1994. The Utah native earned a B.A. in Political Science from University of California at Los Angeles, and earned her J.D. from Tulane University Law School in 1994. Lynne has over 12 years of experience practicing family law and has practiced before the U.S. District Ct., District of CO and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 10th Cir.

Lynne's areas of focus in family law are widespread: she concentrates on domestic relations in various aspects, including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, adoption, grandparents' rights and a range of children's issues. She is also an expert in preparing post- and pre-nuptial agreements. Rather than simply saying "family law," Lynne describes her practice as "client contact," adding, "I want to help people at a difficult time in their lives."

Her passion and assertiveness are reflected in her professional associations and respect in the legal community. Lynne is a member of the American Bar Association; Colorado Bar Association, Family Law Section; Douglas Bar Association; and the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee. Lynne has gladly responded to requests for several speaking engagements, including sessions for Paralegals in Family Law Practice at the Institute for Paralegal Education and the seminar "Privilege as It Relates to Domestic Relations" for Colorado Law for Social Workers. Additionally, Lynne has served as a Board Member for the Metropolitan Denver Interdisciplinary Committee.

Lynne focuses on time with her family outside of work, but she has still managed to fully embrace the Colorado lifestyle through regular hiking and other outdoor activities.
