Colorado Family Law Attorney - Julia M. Purchase
Julia M. Purchase (Julie) joined Kaplan Law, LLC as an associate in November of 2005. She handles all aspects of domestic relations law, including mediation, collaboration, and litigation. In addition, Julie assists with the firm's appellate and civil litigation practice by conducting legal research and writing and with trial preparation.
Julie received an undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. As an undergraduate, she focused her studies on psychology and business. Prior to studying law, Julie helped families and children of abuse and neglect at the Austin Children's Shelter and the Texas Council on Family Violence. During law school, she acted as an executive editor on the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and served as a judicial law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Marcia Crone, who is now a Federal District Judge.
Julie is licensed to practice law in the courts of Colorado and is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations and the Metropolitan Interdisciplinary Council.
